Second Skin (the plastic over your new tattoo)
The plastic wrap you received can stay on for 3–5 days. It is completely normal for fluid, blood, and ink to collect in a small bubble under the plastic. The purpose of the plastic is to protect the wound and prevent air from getting to it. If the plastic has fallen off or has holes in it, you can remove it and use regular plastic wrap that you have at home. This can be used until the wound stops oozing.
When you are ready to remove the plastic wrap, the best way is to rinse it under warm water so that it loosens a bit, and then roll the plastic off. When the plastic is removed, it may appear as if a bit of the tattoo is 'coming off' with it – this is completely normal.
